41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve.
우리는 마땅히 받아야 할 벌을 받고 있는 것이다.
But this man has done nothing wrong.” 그러나 이 사람은 어떤 것도 잘못을 저지르지 않았다.
42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
그때 그는 "예수여, 당신이 당신의 나라에 가셨을 때 나를 기억하소서."하고 말했다.
43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
예수께서 그에게 "참으로 내가 너에게 말하는데 오늘 네가 나와함께 낙원에 있을 것이다."라고 말씀하셨다.
44 It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon,
대략 정오 쯤 되었을 때 어둠이 오후 세시까지 모든 땅 위에 내려 앉았다.
45 for the sun stopped shining. 해가 비취는 것을 멈췄다.
And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
그리고 성전 휘장이 둘로 찢어졌다.
46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
예수께서 큰 목소리로 "아버지, 당신의 손에 내 영을 맡깁니다."하고 부르짖으셨다. 그가 이 말씀을 하시고 그는 마지막 숨을 쉬셨다(숨을 거두셨다).
47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
일어난 것을 보고서 그 백부장이 하나님을 찬양하며 "확실히 이 사람은 의로운 사람이었다."고 말했다.
48 When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away.
이 광경을 보려고 모인 모든 사람들이 그 일을 보고 가슴을 치며 떠나갔다.
