ISLANDS

Earth, stream and tree encircled by sea
Waves sweep the sand from my island.
My sunsets fade,
Field and glade wait only for rain
Grain after grain love erodes my
High weathered walls which fend off the tide 
Cradle the wind
to my island.

Gaunt granite climbs where gulls wheel and glide 
Mournfully cry o'er my island.
My dawn bride's veil, damp and pale,
Dissolves in the sun.
Love's web is spun - cats prowl, mice run
Wreathe snatch-hand briars where owls know my eyes 
Violet skies
Touch my island, touch me.
Beneath the wind turned wave
Infinite peace
Islands join hands
'Neath heaven's sea.

Dark harbour quays like fingers of stone
Hungrily reach from my island.
Clutch sailors' words, pearls and gourds
Are strewn on my shore.
Equal in love, bound in circles.
Earth, stream and tree return to the sea

땅, 시냇물, 나무가 바다
로 둘러싸여 파도가 내 섬의 모래를 쓸어내린다.
내 노을은 사라지고,
들판과 숲속 공터는 오직 비만을 기다린다. 곡
식이 사랑이 쌓인
높은 낡은 벽을 침식한다. 그 벽들은 조수를 막아내고
바람을 내 섬
으로 감싸준다.

갈매기가 돌며 미끄러지듯 오르는 곳, 갈매기가 내 섬 위를 슬
프게 울부짖는 곳.
내 새벽 신부의 베일은 축축하고 창백하게,
햇빛에 녹아버린다.
사랑의 거미줄이 짜여 있어 - 고양이들이 배회하고, 쥐가 달려
가고, 부엉이들이 내 눈을 아는 손 가시덤불을 낚아채고,
보랏빛
하늘이 내 섬을 만져, 나를 만져.
바람이 파도로 변하는
무한한 평화
섬들이 손
을 맞잡고 '하늘의 바다 아래로'

어두운 항구 부두는 돌
의 손가락처럼 내 섬에서 탐욕스럽게 닿는다.
선원들의 말, 진주와 호리병
이 내 해안에 흩어져 있어. 사랑은
동등하고, 원을 그리며 묶여 있다.
땅과 시냇물, 나무가 바다
로 돌아와 파도가 내 섬과 나
의 모래를 쓸어 가요. 본문에서

킹 크림슨은 프로 그래시브록의
음 촉을 가지지만 아트 록 / 클래식/
얼티너티브/ 헤비 메탈 / 하드코어/
등등 다양한 음악쟝를 접목하여
실험적 음악을 만든 밴드며 가사는
난해함 시적표현 등등 으로 해석된다
1968년 팀 시작으로 1974년 해체된
실험적요소가 강한 밴드다
전위적 몽환적 실험적 다양하고
기묘한 팝이란 울타리속 다양성을
심어 그들의 고유의 색체는 총체적으로
심험적 밴드라 불리는것이 맞다
