기무(氣武=>氣無)의 체득과 인연

오늘 오전 미국 해동검도 사범 중 한 사람이 아래와 같이 묻는다. (2023.12. 28)

Hi CJN, May I ask how many “ Main key” principles of movement are there in Jskr HK? Limitless, I am sure. What might be the top 7?

본인의 대답은 간단하고 명료하다.
only one!!

This morning, one of the Haedong Kundo instructors in the U.S. A asks the following:

"Hi CJN, May I ask how many 'Main Key' principles of movement are there in Jskr HK? Limitless, I am sure. What might be the top 7?"

The response was brief and clear:
only one!!, (but yes, it is limitless)

Though the answer is given succinctly, there's a sense of unease. Reflecting on how to make it more understandable, I revisit the following text.

Title: The Essence and Purpose of Kimu Training

**The Essence of Kimu Training**

The core of Kimu training lies in recognizing the essence of nature, achieving the ultimate purpose of realizing and fulfilling one's given life.

**The Purpose of Kimu Training**

It involves grasping the fundamental nature of martial arts, leading to the attainment of better martial arts skills and qualitative enrichment in human life.

**How to Do It**

It is neither difficult nor burdensome; it is simple and clear. Anyone can achieve it with a sincere and open heart, staying true to their intentions.

The possibility lies not in extraordinary techniques or strength but in a profoundly realistic and practical approach. It involves adapting to the natural energy through "feel & connect" based on one's desires, needs, and aspirations in daily life.

Doing that is because it contributes to making oneself better.

The video below demonstrates simply surrendering to nature through such training:

1. Understanding movements that align with the body's essence, discerning the principles of martial arts, and correcting one's mistakes.

2. Harmonizing and balancing energy with oneself and others, restoring the other's energy, and using tools like needles or moxibustion based on the flow of energy.

3. Developing the ability to discern right from wrong in religious or philosophical texts or words.

4. Observing various types, such as dancing or following the flow of energy as the highest level of mental training.

While many enjoy these types and find solace, without truly "Self-Acquirement (체득, Cheduk)," the essence of energy through "feel & connect," possessing the "Gift or Blessing" given from Nature is challenging.

It can be expressed as "Inyeon(인연) in Korean, and despite constant effort and diligence, it may not be guaranteed to happen.

For a more accessible understanding, the "Right Path of Practice" series, consisting of five parts, is well-explained and expressed.

■ What is the Meaning of Inyeon (인연) in Korean?

"인연" can be expressed as "karmic connection" in English, embodying a deeper philosophical meaning. It signifies relationships in life that are not coincidental but inevitably connected, rooted in past lifetimes or actions. This concept encompasses a philosophical view that relationships or situations with others in various aspects of life are determined by destiny, not by chance. "인연" denotes the intertwining of life's journey according to the flow of nature, often leading to beneficial connections that can result in positive changes or growth.
