Maritan Hotel ~ Hotel Madhuban

29km

이제부터는 호텔 찾기가 점점 어려워진다.
인도에서 'Hotel'이름이 붙은 곳은 레스토랑만 있는 경우가 많아서 일일이 확인하지 않으면 낭패하기 쉽다.
필자의 일과중 하나는 호텔을 선정하고 예약하는 일이다.
오늘은 마침 29km지점에 그럴싸한 호텔이 있어서 거기까지 걷기로 했다.
To find a hotel is getting more and more difficult. 

In India, the name 'hotel' sometimes means only a restaurant. 

So, I have to check in detail whether 'hotel' has rooms for lodging. 

 
하라상은 컨디션조절을 위해 하루 쉬기로 했다.

Mr. Hara decided to take rest today in order to care for this condition.

오늘의 간판사진은 달걀프라이다.

Today's top picture is egg fry. 

출발시 호텔직원과 함께.

When I started to walk, I took a picture with the workers of the hotel.

29km 이지만 19번국도 4차선을 따라 곧게 걷는 길이어서 보행의 부담은 적은 편이다.

The length of today's course is 29 km. 

However it was straight road along natoinal road no. 19 which has four lanes. 

Today's course was relatively easy to walk.

길가 노점에서 짜이를 마시며 휴식.

At a street stall, I ate a cup of chai and rested.   

마침 이곳은 빵을 팔고 있다.
빵을 먹은 김에 눈에 보이는 달걀을 가리키며 이걸 줄 수 없느냐니까 난색을 표한다.
아직 짜이를 끓이느라 지금은 어렵다고.
Just in time. I could buy bread.  After eating bread, I pointed the egg and asked, "May I eat this egg?"

He said, "No.  I am boiling chai.  I have no time for egg fry."

 
하지만 포기할 필자가 아니다.
짜이를 끓이는 화로불이 잠시 놀고 있는 틈새에 프라이팬을 가리키면서 '에그프라이'라고 외치니,
가게주인은 씩 웃으면서 행동에 옮긴다.

I am a man of tenacity.  I waited for a while. I waited for the moment when the owner was not busy.   

And I pointed the fry pan and said, "Egg fry!"

The owner smiled and began to make egg fry. 

동영상촬영은 처음이다.
이제부터는 자주 활용해야겠다.

This is the first time that I tried taking moving picture. 

From now on, I will try taking moving picture more often.

즉석 에그플라이를 먹기에는 허름한 테이블이 제격이다.

Shabby table is proper for an impromptu egg-fry. 

채비를 든든히 하고 먼길을 걷는다.

I checked the clothes and knapsack and started to walk. 

This picture showes the makeshift car center.   

석탄원석을 주민들은 직접 이렇게 잘게 부셔서 취사연료로 쓴다.
사진은 석탄숯불을 피우고 있는 모습.
인도는 가스가 많이 공급되고 있지만 석탄비중이 크다.

People break raw-coal into pieces and use them for cooking.

This picture showes how they burn coal. 

Many Indians use natural gas for cooking.  However, the portion of coal is relatively large. 

아이들은 언제나 환호한다.

Children are shouting everytime they hear the pilgrimage. 

이슬람사원도 자주 눈에 보인다.

Sometimes I can find an Islam temple. 

무슬림도 필자를 반가워한다.

The Muslims welcome me. 

공장굴뚝에는 매연이 나오고 있다.

A black smoke is coming out of a factory chimney.

높은 위치의 도로를 걸어가고 있는 순례자를 먼저 알아보고 손을 흔드는 아이들.

Children in the lower ground are waving to the pilgrim walking on the upper road. 

오늘도 적지않은 지구촌식구를 만난다.

As usual, today I met lots of people living in Earth village.

긴 코스였지만 이런 분들이 많아서 지루하지 않았다.

It was a long course.  But I was not bored because of these people. 

이젠 숙달이 되어서 별로 피곤한 것 같지도 않다.
선선해진 날씨도 한몫 하고 있다.

Now I became accustomed to walking alone.  I am not tired of walking. 

The weather which bacame a little bit cool helps my pilgrimage.   

호텔에 도착. 이 호텔은 와이파이도 좋다.
못다한 pc작업을 해야겠다.

Finally I arrived at the hotel which was good for wi-fi. 

I am going to do some computer work which was delayed.
