Dear Jade and Helen,
thanks again for your great job with WWOOF Korea.
Here are the two feed backs of our two wwoof experiences.
1. Santisuk/Sanmaeul Poongkyenong, Gangwon do
We had a great time there. It was so cool that instead of staying 10 days as initially planed, we stayed more than one month. Nandida, the owner of the place and Songpop, her husband, were really nice and friendly. We shared a lot with there daughter (Hayn) and son (Hojin). A buddhist nun used to live their and we became very good friends. They all took time to show us the landscape and we had a great time walking in the mountain with the nun and friends. We discussed a lot about cultural differences and tried to learn some Korean one as well as some Korean language. We learnt how to make kimchee and koean rice cake. Moreover, meeting other wwoofers there was a great pleasure and we hope to see some of them again in the future.
However, it would be worth to tell other wwoofers that this place is not a farm at all. Our job was essentially to work with Mr Lee, Nandida's business partner. We mainly worked as furniture removers and builders for the new korean restaurant Nandida and Mr Lee are building in the basement of the house. In the evening, we sometimes taught English to Hayn and her Korean friends.
In summary, an excellent place to stay, far away from the crowded cities, but without any farm job.
Thanks again for your help and kindness,
Vincent and Claudia Menuz Lachat from Switzerland
