출발지로 버스로 떠나려는 아침에 운좋게 승용차를 얻어탔다.
같은 호텔에 묵었던 이들이다.
When I was about to go to the starting point by bus, luckily I got a ride.
They stayed last night at the same hotel as we stayed.
산적같이 생긴 이 두 친구의 직업은 의사.
These two badit-like men were medical doctors.

아침부터 동네친구들을 사귄 하라상
Mr. Hara made friends with villagers from early morning.
병아리가 어미닭을 좇아가는 장면.
요즘 보기드문 자연스런 모습이다.
이렇게 순리를 거스르지 않고 키워야 하거늘, 요즘 공장식 축산을 생각하면 암울한 기분만 든다.
Chicks are following mother hen. To see this kind of natural scene is becoming very rare these days.
The chick and hen must grow together by nature. But, I feel groomy whenever I think of chics growing at factory-like hencoop.
우물가에 동네사람들이 모여있다.
Villagers are flocking to a communal well.
추수를 끝낸 넉넉하고 따사로운 풍경이다.
The countryside looks ample and warm after harvest.
여학생들과 손을 마주 흔들었다.
I waved to the school girs vis-a-vis.
버스정류장에서 대기하던 인파가 반갑게 대해준다.
The crowd waiting at the bus station greeted me with smile.
필자가 연신 국내와 통화하는 사이에
하라상은 따라오면서 많은 친구들을 사귄다.
While I was busy with communicating through smartphone, Mr. Hara was busy with making friends.
이날 원래 Isli 라는 동네에서 환전과 돈찾기를 하려고 했는데,
동네가 작아서 은행지점들이 그 기능을 제공하지 않고 있다.
According to the original schedule, I was supposed to exchange money and withdraw some money at a village, Isli.
However, the village was so small that the banks did not provide that kind of service.
오후시간은 잠시 휴식도 할 겸 기차로 2시간 걸리는 가까운 큰 도시인 Gaya에 다녀오기로 했다.
Gaya는 우리가 열흘후쯤 도착할 도시인데, 환전외에도 한국에서 올 짐(리플렛과 신발)을 당부코자 미리 예약한 호텔에 들르고자 겸사겸사 이동한 것이다.
Therefore, I decided to go for a round trip taking two hours by train to Gaya, the large city nearby.
Gaya is a city where we will arrive 10 days later. But I went to Gaya not only for money-exchange but also to ask the hotel clerk to receive the parcel (leaflets and shoes) coming from Korea.
이등칸 창가쪽에 앉은 필자들과 마주한 선반침대위의 여인들이 호기심을 보였다.
필자는 각각 그들의 '셀피(셀카)'에도 초대받았다^^
We sat at second-class seat. The women sitting at opposite upstairs showed curiosity.
I was invited to take self-camera picture by the women, respectively.

A naive girl sitting next to me approached me.

She held our banner and went around the aisle.
호텔에는 밤늦게 도착했다.
We arrived at the hotel very late at night.
