아침 일찍 출발하는 동네에서 길건너에서 나란히 걸어가고 있는 청년들에게 손을 흔들었더니,
I started early in the morning. I waved to the youthes in the opposite side who were walking in the same direction with me.
길을 건너왔다. 리플렛도 나눠주고 설명한 후, 걷는 모습을 다시 찍었다.
They crossed the streets and came over to me.
I handed out leaflets. I took a picture again.
누군가가 주시하고 있는 듯해서 돌아다 보았더니 멀리서 소녀가 미소짓고 있다.
I felt someone to look at me. I turned my head and found out a smiling girl.
탈곡이 끝난 마당에 볏집이 가득하다.
After harvest, the yard is full with rice straw.
아이들로 둘러싸인 하라상
Mr. Hara was surrounded by children.
이런 우람한 나무아래 우물이 있다.
There was a well under such an imposing tree.
깊은 바닥에 맑은 물이 있다.
I could see clear water on the deep bottom.
우물가에 온 동네주민들과 친해진 하라상
Mr. Hara made friends with the village people.

A street vendor is operating sugar cane machine which was remodelled from motorcycle.
장날이 선 동네에 이르러서 많은 인파들이 호기심을 보인다.
I arrived at a village where it was a market day. Many people showed curiosity.
학생들 주민들과 많은 얘기와 함께 사진을 찍었다
I talked with students and villagers. I took a picture with them.
바위들이 듬성듬성 놓여있는 이런 형태의 산도 보인다.
I could see this type of mountain which had scattered rocks.
추수가 끝난 논에서 웃자란 풀을 소가 뜯다보면 아마도 논에서 놀던 생물들이 노출되기 쉬운 모양이다.
그 먹이를 노리는 황새들이 소와 짝지어 움직인다.
When the cattle eat up the overgrown grass, the living beings become easily exposed.
Therefore, the cranes and cattle move side by side.
사흘간 묵었던 Ashoka Resort 호텔을 걸어서 지나간다.
I walked and passed by Ashoka Resort Hotel which we stayed for three days.

The Islam temple was relatively neat and tidy.
우리의 서낭당과 비슷하게 동네의 오래된 나무를 모시는 사당을 지었다.
This shrine looks like an altar which respects an old tree.
2층집에서 가족들이 손을 흔들고 있다.
The family living on the second floor are waving to me.
돌아오는 길에 오토릭샤를 탔다.
가운데 편한 자리는 여성들 몫이다.
여성의 사회적 지위는 낮지만, 이렇게 배려하는 관습도 눈에 띈다.
On the way back to hotel, we rode an auto ricksha.
The good place in the middle is reserved for the women.
Though the level of women are low, this kind of custom which respect the women is alive.
