겨울철 내내 안개가 끼는 지방이다.
이날은 갠지즈 강변을 지나는 코스여서 강변의 경치를 은근히 기대했지만 허사였다.
필자의 걷는 모습을 하라상이 잘 찍었다.
It is foggy throughout winter times in this region.
I expected nice scenery because today's course goes along Ganges river, but it was not so.
Mr. Hara took a nice picture of walking appearance of me.
이곳은 다양한 형태의 사립학교들이 있다.
In this region, I could find various kinds of private educational institutes.
마을의 큰 나무에는 우리처럼 신을 모시는 자리가 있다.
A large tree in the village has sanctuary for god just like Korean tradition.

They sell and buy water buffalos in the market.
볏짚을 주재료로 해서 대나무로 엮은 벽체.
People make simple wall by using bamboo and rice straw.
하라상이 아이들과 함께 포즈를 취했다.

어느 큰 마을에 접어들어서 짜이를 마시고 있는데 호기심에 가득한 청년들이 다가왔다.
한가한 겨울철에 수상한 나그네가 등장한 것이다.
I was drinking a cup of chai in a large village.
Many youths came to me with curiosity.
In quiet winter time, an extraordinary traveler appeared.
지도현수막을 펴들고 설명한 후 눈빛이 달라진 그들에게 함께 걷지 않겠느냐고 제안했다.
그러자 멈칫 한걸음 물러선다.
I pulled out a large map, and explained about Silk Road pilgrimage.
I suggested them to walk together, since they seemed to respond.
But they stepped back.

I took a picture with them.
하라상은 그중 친해진 이들과 셀피 한 컷.
Mr. Hara took a selfi with one of them.
아이들이 멋있다.
Children were cute.
모닥불옆을 지나는데 청년들이 함께 쬐자는 제스추어를 한다.
하라상이 잘 포착하였다.
이 모닥불을 추위에 떨고 있을 한국과 일본의 동지들에게 보낸다.
We were passing by a bonfire. The youths gestured us to come close.
Mr. Hara took a nice picture of that moment.
I would like to send the warmth of this bonfire to supporters of Silk Road Pilgrimage
who are suffering from cold weather in Korea and Japan.

The throw-away cups made of clay are piled at chai cafe. It is very common at chai cafe.
